Training programme on WASH held

Bhubaneswar: Around 40 participants from DAS-India comprising
village hygiene promoters, social mobilisers and Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
committee honed skills on usage of safe and protected water, safe disposal of
human excreta, personal hygiene-hand washing, food hygiene, safe disposal of
solid waste, safe disposal of liquid waste, Diarrhoea and treatment practice
here at a community awareness programme WASH held at Kalapanchan in Nimapada
area in Puri district.
 

The programme was organized by ActionAid with the support
from European Commission Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (ECHO).
Among others, representatives from partner organization,
village committee members on Phailin response were present and discussed on the
various measures on WASH to be taken in emergency situations like cyclone and
floods.
