Absconding notorious dacoit held in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The
Bhubaneswar Government Railway Police (GRP) on Saturday has been able to arrest
notorious train looter and dacoit P Surya Narayan Rao alias Raama of Budhanagar
slum here. He was at large since July 14 this year when four of his associates
were arrested by the police for looting in running trains.  
The police also seized
a stolen Bajaj Pulsar motor cycle and some cash from his possession and
forwarded him to court.
The notorious looter
managed to flee when a raid by the GRP was conducted on a house on July 14 this
year. At that time the GRP personnel arrested four youths Satyaban Pradhan (20)
alias Raju, Sarat Das alias Lalu (19), Pramod Das alias Petu alias Babu (20),
Mahesh Chandra Sahu alias Mitu (29) while they were plotting for committing
dacoity in running train. A sword, a 9mm toy/lighter pistol, chili powder,
liquor, kitchen knife, cash were seized from their possession.

IIC Soubhagya Kumar Swain said a regular raid on suspected persons and places
will be conducted to nab the looters.
