‘India Against Negativity’ launched
Bhubaneswar, Aug 31: Stating that negativism is like a drop
of poison in the nectar of positivism, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday called
upon citizens to promote positivity in the society dispelling negativism for rapid
development of the State and the country as well.
Addressing at the launching programme of India Agaisnt
Negativity (IAN), a forum against negativism, the Chief Minister said that negative
aspects in life sometimes try to halt forward movement and try to spoil
confidence, spontaneity, and end up in making vision hazy.
“This is a time when our state and the country are on the
move to achieve rapid development. We are trying to fast-track our socio-economic
development by bringing visible changes in the lives of people. But there are
also vexing issues which are coming in the way, and we are consciously
endeavouring to find solutions to these issues. However, constant and mindless
focus on these issues can upset our development initiatives. It can lead to
skepticism and despair in society. We can’t allow society under the influence
of negativity,” said the Chief Minister.
Patnaik urged likeminded people to come under the umbrella of
this forum in promoting positive social activities and prevent social prejudices
and superstitions.
IAN advisory board chairman and former Supreme Court judge Justice
AK Patnaik, Lok Sabha Member Prasanna Patsani, Rajya Sabha member Ranjib
Biswal, Puri King Gajapati Dibyasingh Deb among many other dignitaries graced the
occasion.
Puri King Gajapati Dibyasingh Deb also launched the website
of the IAN on the ocassion.
