Eviction drive continues for second day in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Sep 11: The Joint enforcement squad consisting
of officials of BDA, BMC and General Administration department, backed by police
personnel, continued its anti-encroachment drive for the second consecutive day
on Thursday to clear encroachments busy CRP square and Priyadarshini Market.

The team removed nearly 40 street vendors , demolished
extended portion of 25 business establishments, cleared 15 cabins and demolished
a religious structure inside Priyadarshini market.

The Commissionerate police has approached the concerned
departments to clear encroachments between the stretch from Unit VIII Stewart
School and CRP square to avoid heavy traffic problem.

The eviction drive was conducted under the direct supervision
BDA Enforcement Officer Deba Prasad Dash.
