Power Generation Corporation Ltd. (OPGC) on Tuesday has handed over a cheque of
Rs16.25 crore to the Chief Minister of towards the state’s share of dividend
for the year 2013-14.

Rs16.25 crore to the Chief Minister of towards the state’s share of dividend
for the year 2013-14.
The cheque was handed
over to the Chief Minister by the OPGC Managing Director Sankaran Subramaniam
and others in presence of Energy Minister Pranab Prakash Das and department secretary
Suresh Chandra Mohapatra.

It is worthwhile to
mention here that OPGC is expanding its capacity by setting up of 2 units of
power plant of 660MW capacity each at Ib Thermal Power station which are under
construction. As per dividend policy of the company a conservative approach is
taken to declare minimum dividend during construction period to enable
ploughing back more profit in to construction.
