Governor visits Koraput Central varsity, to tour Rayagada tomorrow

Koraput: Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal on Wednesday visited the Central University of Orissa (CUO), Sunabeda campus.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Sachidananda Mohanty welcomed the Governor and briefed him about various activities of the institute and achievements. The Governor also visited the Central Library of the University and interacted with the students.

On Thursday, the Governor will visit Rayagada district.

During the proposed visit he is scheduled to attend various programmes and visit panchayats and interact with people.

As per the itinerary, the Governor will first visit Kutuli panchayat in the district where he will distribute pensions to 10 people and talk to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana beneficiaries.

Later, he will visit Himarpadi village in Kumbhikota Gram Panchayat and inspect cashew plantation farm developed under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).

Then, the Governor will visit to Ekalavya Adarsh School on the outskirts of Rayagada town where he will interact with the students and members of the Self Help Group (SHG) of Mission Shakti. He will also visit Kandhamaligaon Girls’ High School.

Before returning to Bhubaneswar the Governor will hold a review meeting with the senior district administration officials at the Collectorate.
