CM inaugurates, lays stone of projects worth Rs 796 crore in Cuttack

Cuttack: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday launched at least 57 development projects worth Rs 796 crore in Cuttack.

Of the 57 total projects, 35 projects worth Rs 270 crore were inaugurated while foundation stone was laid for 22 projects worth Rs 526 crore by the Chief Minister at Baliyatra Ground here.

The inaugurated projects included three Biju Setu in Tangi-Choudwar, Mahanga and Kantapada blocks, pipe-water supply under BASUDHA scheme in Choudwar, Urban Community Health Centre at Chauliaganj, 300-bed girls’ hostel for the Ravenshaw junior college and water treatment plant at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

Similarly, the projects, for which foundation-stone were laid included Nayabazar-Madhupatna over-bridge, bridge over the Gobari river on Mahanga-Bagasarapur road, a 20,00-litre capacity Omfed plant at Kendupatna, four high-level bridges under Niali and Kandpara blocks, two road project under Cuttack Sadar and Nischintakoili blocks and 400-bed hostel at the Shailabala Women’s College in Cuttack and development of Khairapola-Salipur-Asureswar Canal Road.

The Chief Minister also addressed a huge gathering of Biju Yuva Vahini volunteers of Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara at the Baliyatra Ground.
