CM launches 18 ‘Make In Odisha’ industrial projects worth Rs 2,200 crore

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday inaugurated and performed groundbreaking ceremony of 18 industrial projects worth Rs 2,200 crore from the State secretariat through videoconferencing. These projects will create employment for 3500 people.

Of the total 2,200 crore projects, Patnaik inaugurated industrial units worth Rs 493.41 crore and performed groundbreaking of units worth Rs 1,702.89 crore.

“These units will expand Odisha’s manufacturing capacity in food processing, aluminium downstream, steel, cement, automobile and pharma,” said Patnaik.

The key projects include 1.5 MTPA cement grinding unit of Emami Cement Limited, 4 MTPA iron ore pelletisation plant of Narbheram Power and Steel, Hindustan Coca Col Beverages’s expansion of non-alcoholic beverage plant and a new unit of Hindalco World Solar.

Industries Minister Anant Das, MSME Minister Prafulla Samal, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi were present.

The CM inaugurated Emami Cement and Brahman River Pellets Limited at Kalinganagar, Jajpur having employment potential of 258 and 487, respectively, Jay Bharat Spices in Jagatpur Industrial Estate Phase-II, Cuttack (150 jobs) and Utkal Bricks and industries Pvt Ltd at Bhagabanpur IE in Khurda (32 jobs).

Similarly, groundbreaking of Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd (348 jobs), Narbheram Power and Steel Private Limited (167), Hindalco Solar (30), AKM Agro (384), Infunex Healthcare (365), Runaya Refining LLP (175), Hindalco Coal Gasification (20), Omjay EV (122), Sushma Ferro Alloys (150), AB Dinesh Concrete Pvt Ltd (157), Agrilink Food Processing (120), Odisha Aqua Traders and Marine Exporters (200), Sapphire Alumina LLP (50) and Brightstar Exim House Pvt Ltd (250) were performed.

These investment proposals were received during the ‘Make In Odisha’ conclave. The projects are of Rs 2196.30 crore while they would create total 3,465 jobs.
