Cops recover huge quantity of looted Nayagarh armoury gears

Gajapati: Mohana police has reportedly recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition looted from armouries in Odisha’s Nayagarh, where the ultras killed 14 policemen and a civilian in 2008, from Bhaliagada jungle area.

Acting on a reliable input that Maoists have concealed some arms and ammunitions inside Bhaliagada forests, a team of Mohana police station consisting of IIC SK Nayak, SI Alok Jagadala and Sindhu Sarka raided the spot in the wee hours of Friday.

One 5.56 MM INSAS Rifle with an AK-47,  a 7.62mm SLR Rifle, 86 live ammunition, one AK-47 magazine, one INSAS magazine and three SLR magazines were recovered from the spot.
