Bhubaneswar: The annual High School Certificate (HSC)-2020 or Matriculation examination, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) began on Wednesday across the State. A total of 5,60,891 students are appearing in the HSC exam this year.
The exam will end on March 2.
Along with matric exam, tests for State Open School, Madhyama Sanskrit apart from Class-IX Vocational examination is being held.
The exam will be held between 10 am to 12.30 pm. One hour will be given for objective question paper from 10 to 11am and subsequently subjective question paper will be given to students at 11 am. Students will get extra 15 minutes for Mathematics paper.
A total of 69 special flying squads have been formed to check cheating. As many as 1,000 examination centres have been identified as sensitive and there CCTV cameras installed for surveillance.
At least 307 nodal centres have been set up in the State to store question papers amid 24×7 security.
Three-layer security system has been introduced for smooth conduct of the exam.
