Odisha CM hands over appointment letters to new recruits, dedicates Unnati Bhawan

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday handed-over appointment letters to 40 newly inducted officers under the Odisha Municipal Cadre at the Unnati Bhawan in Satya Nagar here.

He welcomed 28 officers of Odisha Municipal Administrative Service and 12 officers of Odisha Municipal Planning Service under newly created Odisha Municipal Cadre.

Terming the the moment as historic and a landmark in urban governance of the State, the Chief Minister directed Housing and Urban Development Department to train the newly inducted officers with nuances of 5T and Mo Sarkar.

He urged upon the officers to work with commitment, compassion and empathy to bring about qualitative change in the lives of the people.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Patnaik dedicated the public office building ‘Unnati Bhawan’ in the service of people. The building will accommodate vital organisations of Housing and Urban Development Department such as AWAAS Mission, Jaga Mission, WATCO, and Sewerage Board.

Housing and Urban Development Department Minister Pratap Jena and department Secretary were also present.
