Delhi violence: Odisha CM speaks to BSF jawan Mohammad Anees, sanctions Rs 10 lakh

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has sanctioned Rs 10 lakh for BSF Constable Mohammad Anees, whose house was burnt in a recent communal violence in northeast Delhi recently.

Patnaik spoke to the BSF Constable, who has been currently posted in LWE-affected Malkangiri district in Odisha.

“CM Naveen Patnaik was saddened to know that the house of Constable Mohammad Anees, 9th Battalion was burnt down in the recent communal violence in Delhi. He is working in the Maoist affected Malkangiri district in Odisha. This Battalion of BSF is responsible for the overall security in the Swabhiman ANchan (erstwhile cut-off area), which include the Gurupriya bridge,” said a CMO statement on Sunday.

“CM spoke to him and consoled about the unfortunate incident. CM has sanctioned relief of Rs 10 lakh from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the Constable,” it added.
