Baramunda Inter-State Bus Terminal to be ready in 18 months: CM

Bhubaneswar, December 10: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday inspected the progress of the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) in Baramunda here and the new ISBT will cost about Rs 180 crore and is expected to be completed in 18 months.

The Chief Minister praised its design and said that it will be a new landmark in Bhubaneswar.

“The Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) in Baramunda will be built at the cost of about Rs 180 crore and is expected to be completed in 18 months. It will be a new landmark in Bhubaneswar,” Patnaik told media persons after visiting the construction site.

The project has two parts – one is Khandagiri Bus Depot and the other is Baramunda Inter State Bus Terminal.

The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction on the timely completion of Khandagiri Bus Depot work.

At ISBT, special emphasis is being given on passenger convenience with state-of-the-art design, wide access and exit of buses, and commercial space. Transformation work of ISBT has been undertaken under the 5T programme.
