Malkangiri, December, 30: Border Security Force (BSF) DG Pankaj Kumar Singh on Thursday visited company operation base (COB) at Janbi and newly established COB at Gurasetu in Maoist affected Malkangiri district.
BSF ADG Rajwinder Singh Bhatti, DIG Arjun Singh Rathore, Officiating IG Odisha Frontier and other senior officers also accompanied Singh.
At COB Janbai, the DG was received Sanjay Kumar Singh, DIG BSF Sector Malkangiri alongwith DIG, SWR and SP, Malkangiri.
DG Singh interacted with available troops and praised their hard work, dedication and efforts in fight against naxalisim effectively and said that, “Being disciplined and professional force, BSF can handle any situation and complete assigned task with desirable result.”
Due to presence of BSF in interior Swabhimaan Anchal (Cut-off area) inculcated sense of security in the mind and heart of local population and through BSF developmental schemes of government would easily be in the reach of local people.
The BSF DG reviewed present security scenario in Maoist infested area of Odisha and appreciated the coordination between BSF and Odisha police.
