Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Thursday cancelled four more trains and diverted three trains keeping in mind the safety and security of passengers as Cyclone Fani is likely to disrupt rail traffic. The extremely severe Cyclone Fani is expected to make landfall in Puri district on Friday.
The services of Bhubaneswar-Bangiriposi Express (between Bangiriposi-Bhubaneswar), Rajyarani Express (Rourkela-Gunupur), Secunderabad-Kamakhya Express (Secunderabad-Kamakhya) and Special Train (Santragachhi to Chennai) will be cancelled on Friday.

Train services between Bhadrak-Vizianagaram in Howrah-Chennai Main Line will be stopped from Thursday evening and Bangalore, Secunderabad and Chennai from Howrah directions will be cancelled from Thursday evening while inward train services to/from Bhubaneswar and Puri will be restricted.
Altogether, cancellation of 103 trains from and through Bhadrak-Vizianagaram railway section of ECoR was announced for Thursday and Friday for the safety of passengers.
Similarly, Amritsar- Vishakhapatnam-Hirakud Express from Amritsar on Wednesday, Vishakhapatnam- Amritsar-Hirahud Express will run from Vishakhapatnam on diverted route via Sambalpur-Titilagarh and Viziangaram route while Guwahati-Kochuveli Special from Guwhati on Wednesday will run on diverted route via Khragpur-Jharsuguda-Sambalpur-Titlagarh-Vizianagaram and Vishakhapatnam route.
