the progress of various ongoing investment projects in Odisha in two different
sessions at the State Secretariat here on Monday.

“There has been substantial progress in the projects because
of this collaborative action between State and Central Governments machineries.
A number of issues have been resolved,” said Joint Secretary Prime Ministers’

Available data shows,
around 31 projects in railway, national high way, irrigation, plastic and
polymer cluster, coal block development and power sectors were reviewed. The
issues flagged by the project proponents in the central PMG portal were
analyzed and resolved. Mainly the issues raised by project developers related
to forest clearance, DGPS survey, conduct of socio-economic impact studies,
issue of FRA certificate, environmental clearance, rehabilitation against the
land acquisition, distribution of compensatory awards and ex-gratia grants,
starting of mining operations at the ground level etc.

Samabkpur-Bamur railway doubling estimated (Rs 1,111crore), Haridaspur-Paradeep
rail link of 82 kms, Talcher-Bimlagarh new rail line (Rs 8,111 crore), Angul-Sukinda new line project (Rs 638 crore)
and Jharsuguda-Barpali-Sardega railway line (Rs 700 crore).

NH-5 with involving investment of Rs 1,047 crore, Chandikhol-Duburi-Talcher
section (Rs 996 crore), Angul-Sambalpur Toll Road project (Rs 1,220 crore),
Cuttack-Angul toll way project (Rs 1,124 crore).
