Union Oil Minister offers to be IIT-B Brand Ambassador

Bhubaneswar, Feb 12: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas
Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday offered to be the Brand Ambassador of the
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar.
While addressing at the 9th foundation day of the
IIT he urged the students to take the institute to further heights and advised
them to be aggressive and vibrant.
“India in general and particularly the state of
Odisha with its culture richness and heritage can surpass any country in the
world if the institution like IIT Bhubaneswar takes up the challenge in
providing leadership,” said the Union Minister. 
Institute Director Prof RV Raja Kumar extended his
heart-felt thanks to the Minister for his generous support in progress and
growth of the Institute and constant guidance in making the Institute realising
its dreams.
He also promised that the Institute will gracefully
contribute to the societal development with dedicated student and faculty
engagements. 
The Union Minister also gave away the excellence
awards to a few selected faculty members for outstanding contributions in
innovative teaching and research based on the feedback received from the
students.
